A Natural Remedy for Constipation Treatment
Constipation can be caused by multiple factors, however we have found the most common causes over the years have been;
Poor diet – Over consumption of fatty foods and refined sugars and not enough fiber.
Excess use of diuretics – Anything that makes you need to pass water more frequently (such as alcohol for example) subsequently dehydrates you, which means there will be less water in your body to soften the stool.
Not drinking enough liquids – Fluid absorbed by the intestine and also passes through to the colon. Not drinking enough water means there won’t be enough water passing into the colon to soften stool.
Medication – Whether its prescribed or over the counter, it can cause constipation as a side effect.
Typically constipation can include feeling bloated, nausea, stomach aches, cramps, loss of appetite and difficulty passing stool (usually dry and painful).
We often treat clients with chronic constipation who have tried prescription and over the counter medicine with little or no success. With cases of chronic constipation there is a significant impact on the quality of life.
Whilst the treatment protocol below is a general overview, we always recommend booking a consultation face to face or if this is not possible then a consultation over the phone is also available.
